ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
I offer services in English, Urdu, and Hindi.
Whether you are an individual feeling overwhelmed by intense emotions and life transitions, or a couple stuck in the same conflict and communication patterns, it can be challenging to feel disconnected from yourself and the people you love. As individuals, we have our own intersectionalities that can influence how we love, communicate, and handle conflict within romantic and familial relationships. These intersectionalities can create invisible friction points within our relationships.
My practice blends evidence-based tools from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and the Gottman Method with practical Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills—to help individuals, young adults, and couples build distress tolerance, regulate intense emotions, and safely untangle conflicting life expectations. As a result of my systemic and relational psychotherapy approach, I focus on how an individual’s behaviours, emotions, and personal relationships are connected and how these factors emerge when trying to navigate marital and familial dynamics.
You will walk away with a clear roadmap to break out of frustrating cycles, allowing you to navigate high-stress moments with confidence, build deeper emotional safety, and create a fulfilling life where you feel grounded and heard as an individual and within your relationships.
Nida is a Registered Social Worker and a York University graduate with a Master’s of Social Work. Over the past seven years, she has worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, working with a variety of age ranges from transitional-aged youth to seniors and a variety of mental health challenges, including caregiver burnout, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, emotion dysregulation, and distress tolerance.
