ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I hold a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Arts, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I specialize in working with families, individuals, children, and youth. I also work as an elementary school (primary, junior, and intermediate) teacher and have experience working with school-age children and adolescents in this role.
I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and live their lives to the fullest. I cultivate a safe and supportive space for clients to feel comfortable sharing their stories. Through providing a non-judgmental listening ear, a warm presence, and a positive outlook, I aim to help clients build on their strengths, heal from their past experiences, and overcome obstacles in life. As a believer of collaboration in psychotherapy, I will work with you to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that is aligned with your goals, needs, and aspirations. I view each client as a unique individual; therefore, I am passionate about tailoring sessions to meet each client’s one-of-a-kind needs and preferences. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship and the trust between my clients and me and I am happy to accommodate requests to enhance treatment.
My approach to treatment is collaborative, holistic, and unique to the client and their presenting concern(s). I utilize an integrative approach and draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, and more. I am always learning and open to implementing new theoretical approaches, and I believe that psychotherapy is both a science and an art.
