ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

I offer services in English.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming.  You might question whether it will truly help, feel like you “should” already have things figured out, or find yourself unable to see a clear path forward. When relationships feel strained, anxiety feels constant, or past experiences continue to show up in the present, it can feel heavy and isolating.

I meet you where you are. My work is grounded in attachment theory and guided by a trauma-focused lens, which means we explore how your past experiences and important relationships have shaped the way you connect with yourself and with others. Together, we move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, focusing on both insight and practical tools.

Through therapy, clients often begin to feel more understood, connected, and hopeful. Couples learn how to communicate in ways that create closeness rather than distance. Individuals gain clarity, emotional balance, and confidence. My goal is to create a space where growth feels steady and sustainable, and where you don’t have to navigate things alone.

With over 18 years of experience as an Ontario Certified Teacher, Melinda has supported children, adolescents, and families through academic stress, social anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, and family transitions. This background gives her a deep understanding of developmental stages, parenting dynamics, and the pressures many families face today.

Her work is deeply relational. Whether she is supporting an individual or a couple, Melinda focuses on understanding attachment patterns, communication styles, and emotional needs.

More than just my work:

When I’m not in session, you’ll likely find me exploring new places, learning about different cultures, spending time in nature, chasing meaningful conversations, or soaking up joy with a dog nearby. I believe growth should feel both intentional and human – structured enough to feel steady, and playful enough to feel alive.
